Because Rosemary is a strong tasting herb it goes best with strong foods such as meats,  stews, and soups. It goes well with vegetables cooked in olive oil. It also makes a lovely infused oil, a nice ingredient for foccaccia bread, or steeped as one of the ingredients in iced tea.

Traditional Uses

Rosemary has been used as a strewing herb – plants that were scattered on the floors of buildings for their fragrance and ability to act as insecticides and disinfectants. Today some people use it in the nesting boxes for their chickens. In the 9th century Charlemagne included Rosemary in his list of essential plants to be grown on the imperial estates.
