We only use the information you give us to provide the services you have requested such as subscribing to our blog, newsletter, or purchasing products online.
At The Herbwalker’s Apothecary your credit card information is only kept long enough to process your order. We use PayPal to process your payment, and you can read about their policies here.
Part of being a Registered Herbalist is that we are required to keep our clients records for a designated period of time. At The Herbwalker’s Apothecary we do include purchase orders (excluding credit card information) in these records, which are securely stored. This information is never shared, except where required by Canadian law or your written permission. Once this required period of time has elapsed the purchase records are destroyed.
We do not sell, trade, or rent our mailing list. Your contact information is used only for the services you have requested.
We collect email in two main ways: online or in person.
In person – it is for the purpose of being able to contact you only in the ways that you give us permission, typically for follow up after a consultation. This does NOT sign you up for newsletters or blogs. To sign up for those requires your permission.
Online – it is because you emailed us, or signed up for a newsletter, subscribed to our blog, or placed a purchase, in which case the email will only be used for that specific service. In the case of subscriptions you can unsubscribe at any time.
