History
Native to the Northern Mediterranean. The Egyptians considered Calendula flowers to have rejuvenating properties, and the flowers were also seen adorning the statues of gods in Hindu temples. They have even been used to colour food (including cheese) and fabric.
As ingredient in skin creams, salves, compresses, and washes.
